A franchise software company built by a franchise operator

HolaTeams wasn’t built by a software company that discovered franchising. It was built by someone who ran franchise operations for forty years and got tired of the same problem.

The problem was personal before it was a product

Ziad Dalal spent forty years in franchise operations. Long enough to watch the same thing happen in every network he was part of, and long enough to know it wasn't a failure of effort.

Operational information scatters. It ends up in spreadsheets, inboxes, folders, and training decks — all of them accurate, none of them connected. It works while the network is small enough for a few people to hold it in their heads. Then the network grows, and leadership slowly loses visibility of its own operation. Not dramatically. Just enough that questions which should take a minute start taking three days.

The tools were never the problem. Every franchisor already owns capable software. What nobody had was a layer that made those tools add up to a franchise operation.

I built it because franchise organizations deserved real operational visibility, without abandoning the tools their teams already trust.

Forty years of operating, paired with Microsoft Engineering

These two things rarely sit in the same company, and the combination is the reason HolaTeams works the way it does.

The operating model comes from someone who lived the problem for four decades and knows which parts of a franchise break under scale.

What we believe about franchise software

The franchise software market has trained everyone to expect the same thing. Adopt a new system. Migrate your data to a vendor’s cloud. Survive a long implementation. Retrain your network. Accept that a chunk of your operation now lives somewhere you don’t control.

We think that's backwards, and the franchisors we speak to keep describing the same two blockers: what the implementation will cost them in disruption, and what integrating it will cost them afterwards. The category's answer has been to make the migration smoother. Ours is to remove it.

A franchise platform shouldn't be a system you adopt. It should be the Microsoft 365 you already own, organized. No new login. No migration. No retraining. Your data in your tenant. And adoption that starts with five stores you can walk away from rather than a board-level procurement decision.

We win when you add locations, not when you renew.

We’re early, and we say so

HolaTeams has its first customers signed and deploying. We're not going to dress that up, because a franchisor evaluating an early-stage vendor deserves an accurate picture rather than a confident one.

What we'd ask you to weigh is the architecture. Your data lives in your own Microsoft 365 tenant, which means the usual risk of backing a young company doesn't apply here in the way it normally would. You're not handing us your operation. You're organizing your own.
